SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs 390.00-415.00; 500-600 lbs 345.00-386.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 360.00-390.00; 500-600 lbs 
340.00-367.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 390.00; 500
-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 156.00-
177.00; Boners 80-85% lean 150.00-172.00; Lean 85-90% lean 146.00-155.00; 
Lean Low Dressing 80.00-144.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1770-
2310 lbs 183.00-187.50; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1215 
lbs 169.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1230 lbs Young to Middle 
Aged Cows with Calf under 300 lbs 2450.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 87.39. Sows live price 
300-450 lbs 87.43; 450-500 lbs 92.54; 500-550 lbs 95.13.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 4 to 6 cents higher; elevator 
bids 3.82-4.69, processor bids 4.59. Soybean bids were 10 to 11 cents 
higher; elevator bids 9.11, export bids at 10.31. Wheat bids were 4 to 
10 cents higher; elevator bids 4.58. 
   Cotton on Thursday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 74 
cents lower at 63.96.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
