SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 
400-500 lbs 395.00; 500-600 lbs 360.00-362.50. Feeder Heifers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 370.00; 500-600 lbs 330.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 400.00; 500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 165.00-174.00; Boners 80-85% lean 157.50-
175.00; Lean 85-90% lean 140.00-160.00; Lean Low Dressing 110.00-132.50. 
Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1895-2275 lbs 186.00-200.00; High 
Dressing 1895 lbs 213.00; Low Dressing 1240-1625 lbs 160.00-184.00. 
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 845-945 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows 
with calves under 300 lbs 1750.00-2700.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs were 2.15 higher at 83.47. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 93.33; 450-500 lbs 99.74; 500-550 lbs 102.11.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were steady; elevator bids 3.79-4.65, 
processor bid 4.55. New Crop Soybean bids were 2 cents higher; elevator 
bids 9.71-9.96, export bids 10.61-10.75. Wheat bids were 1 to 7 cents 
higher; elevator bids 4.05-4.45. 
   Cotton on Wednesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 39 cents 
lower at 65.64.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Wednesday. Beans approx.. 26 lb sks Lima type Green
