SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,515 lbs at 242.01, heifers 1,353 lbs at 242.08. Dressed
delivered steers 977 lbs at 382.78, heifers 865 lbs at 383.91. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 406.61, up
15.22 and Select 381.46, up 15.30.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week: Early
weaned pigs are steady and feeder pigs are 3.00 higher. Demand mostly
moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 56.25;
40 lbs cash basis 74.55.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not available.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 92.51, 450-499 lbs 100.14, and 500-549
lbs 101.76.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 1 cent higher; elevator bids 3.87-
4.74, processor bids 4.64. New crop soybeans bids were 10 to 11 cents
lower; elevator 9.82-10.07 and export 10.72-10.82. Wheat bids were 1
to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 4.46.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 56
lower at 64.99.
