SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs 406.00-442.50; 500-600 lbs 370.00-392.50. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 362.50-395.00; 500-600 lbs 340.00
-385.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 400.00-440.00; 500-
600 lbs none reported. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 150.00-
176.00; Boners 80-85% lean 151.00-174.00; Lean 85-90% lean 139.00-159.00; 
Lean Low Dressing 80.00-130.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1235-
1940 lbs 178.00-212.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1135-
1860 lbs 169.00-183.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 820 lbs Young 
to Middle Aged Cows with Calf over 300 lbs 2800.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 1.69 lower at 80.75. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 92.13; 450-500 lbs 98.76; 500-550 lbs 100.48.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 3-4 cents higher; elevator bids 
3.70-4.70, processor bids 4.60. New crop soybean bids were steady; 
elevator bids 9.83-10.08, export bids at 10.73. Wheat bids 3 to 8 cents 
higher; elevator bids 4.10-4.50. 
   Cotton on Thursday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 63 
cents higher at 70.79.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
