SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs 401.00-455.00; 500-600 lbs 356.00-390.00. Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 382.00-415.00; 500-600 lbs 340.00-375.00. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 415.00-455.00; 500-600 lbs 
none reported. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 161.00-170.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 154.00-173.00; Lean 85-90% lean 140.00-148.00; Lean Low 
Dressing 71.00-137.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1010-1890 lbs 
186.00-205.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1135-1905 lbs 
158.00-184.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1120-1425 lbs Young to

   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 1.10 lower at 81.72. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 89.29; 450-500 lbs 96.30; 500-550 lbs 98.44.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 2 cents higher; elevator bids 
3.79-4.79, processor bids 4.79. New Crop Soybean bids were 1 cent higher; 
elevator bids 9.68-9.93, export bids 10.58-10.66. Wheat bids were 2 cents 
higher; elevator bids 4.25-4.42. 
   Cotton on Thursday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 4 
cents lower at 63.69.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
