SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,532 lbs at 237.51 heifers 1,343 lbs at 237.87. Dressed
delivered steers 999 lbs at 370.88, heifers 875 lbs at 372.11. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 15.33 lower at 389.44
and Select 14.96 lower at 367.91.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average compared to
last week, Early weaned pigs and feeder pigs mostly 3.00 higher. Mostly
moderate demand for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
60.90; 40 lbs cash basis 76.68.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was 2.69 higher at
81.28.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 81.61 450-499 lbs 88.64, and 500-549 lbs
91.23.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 2 to 3 cents lower; elevator bids 3.96-5.01,
processor bids 4.81. New Crop Soybeans bids were 14 cents lower;
elevator bids 9.46-9.71, processor bid n/a and export 10.36.
Wheat bids were 2 to 12 cents lower; elevator bid 4.50.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.07
lower at 64.72.
