National Sheep Summary for Monday, March 24, 2025

   Compared to two weeks ago in Missouri no recent comparison on slaughter
lambs.

Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 2-3:
  Missouri:   Wooled and shorn no test.
Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 1-2:
  Missouri:   hair 50-60 lbs 310.00-340.00; 60-70 lbs 320.00-340.00, few
              372.50; 70-80 lbs 300.00-325.00; 80-90 lbs 305.00-335.00;
              101 lbs 185.00.
Slaughter Ewes:
  Missouri:   Good 2-3 (fleshy) hair 125.00-145.00; Utility and Good 1-3
              (medium flesh) 80.00-105.00, hair 100.00-115.00; Cull and
              Utility 1-2 (very thin) hair 80.00.
Feeder Lambs:      Medium and Large 1-2:
  Missouri:   hair 20-30 lbs 300.00-245.00, few 390.00; 30-40 lbs 280.00-
              355.00; 40-50 lbs 280.00-340.00, few 375.00.
Replacement Ewes:  Medium and Large 1-2:
  Missouri:   yearling hair 200.00-300.00/head; young hair 150.00-270.00/
              head; middle age hair 10.00/head; ewes with lambs 150.00-
              420.00/family.

Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection for the week to date
11,00 compared to 11,000 last week and 10,000 last year.
