National Sheep Summary for Monday, April 14, 2025

   Compared to two weeks ago in Missouri slaughter lambs 50.00-60.00
lower; slaughter ewes5.00-15.00 lower.

Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 2-3:
  Missouri:   Wooled and shorn 113 lbs 170.00.
Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 1-2:
  Missouri:   hair 50-60 lbs 260.00-277.50; 60-70 lbs 260.00-275.00;
              70-80 lbs 260.00-270.00; 88 lbs 230.00. wooled and shorn
              70-85 lbs 255.00.
Slaughter Ewes:
  Missouri:   Good 2-3 (fleshy) hair 115.00-130.00; Utility and Good 1-3
              (medium flesh) 85.00, hair 85.00-110.00; Cull and Utility
              1-2 (very thin) hair 80.00.
Feeder Lambs:      Medium and Large 1-2:
  Missouri:   hair 28 lbs 268.00; 30-40 lbs 240.00-285.00; 40-50 lbs
              255.00-280.00.
Replacement Ewes:  Medium and Large 1-2:
  Missouri:   middle age 115.00/ head; yearling hair 110.0-140.00/head;
              young hair 125.00-180.00/head; middle age hair 145.00-

Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection for the week to date
11,00 compared to 11,000 last week and 9,000 last year.
