(MENAFN) US share closed poorer before inflation data Wednesday which could impact the Federal Reserve's interest volume conclusion.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped to become 154.1 units, or 0.35 percent, ending at 44,247.83.
The S&P 500 declined 17.94 units, or 0.3 percent, becoming 6,034.91. In addition, The Nasdaq Composite dropped 49.45 units, or 0.25 percent, to finish at 19,687.24.
The Dow ended beyond the 45,000 stage for the initial time in the previous week. Therefore, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq also finished in the previous week at highs.
The VIX volatility index, also known as the "fear index," dropped 0.07 percent, finishing at 14.18.
Rare metals were in good territory, such as gold, increasing 1.26 percent to reach USD2,693.94 per ounce as well as silver, surging 0.25 percent to reach USD31.90 as of 2225GMT.
At the same time, oil prices increased nearly 0.2 percent, with international benchmark Brent crude at USD71.90 a barrel.
