Australia is looking at some of the highest electricity prices in the developed world, due to the fact that the renewable energy transition has proven to be a disaster in terms of the way it has been implemented. The result of these higher prices is likely to be what has been dubbed a productivity disaster, but ACTU secretary Sally McManus is in a position to use her power and that of the union movement at the upcoming productivity summit to save the nation from that potential disaster..
