Willkie was recognized at the LatinFinance Deals of the Year Awards for its role advising on the winning transaction for Financing Innovation of the Year. Willkie acted as structuring counsel to the initial purchasers in the groundbreaking offering of $12 billion of pre-capitalized securities (P-Caps). The offering was part of a series of measures by Mexico to provide support to state oil producer Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), and represented the first P-Caps transaction involving a sovereign and one of the largest single-tranche sovereign offerings ever conducted.
